Your Supplement Doesn't Know What Time It Is
Almost every supplement is sold as one bottle with one instruction: take one daily.
That instruction contains a hidden assumption — that it makes no difference when. That the body receiving the capsule at seven in the morning is the same body that receives it at ten at night.
It isn't. And that assumption is the reason Escape Protocol exists.
The body runs on a clock, and so does every cell in it
The master clock sits in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus, about 20,000 neurons above the optic chiasm. It runs on an intrinsic period of roughly 24 hours and 10–12 minutes — not exactly 24 — which is why it has to be reset every single day by external time cues. Light is the strongest of them.
But almost every tissue carries its own peripheral clock: liver, gut, skin fibroblasts, muscle, adipose tissue, the heart. Hormone release, body temperature, digestion, cell division and repair all follow a 24-hour pattern.
Cortisol peaks shortly after waking and declines through the morning. Melatonin does the opposite, rising about two hours before habitual sleep. Skin cell turnover, muscle recovery and connective tissue repair are not evenly distributed across the day either.
None of this is controversial. What is unusual is a supplement range built around it.
Four formulas. Two moments. One system.
Escape Protocol is not one product taken at an arbitrary hour. It is four formulas placed in two parts of the day, with different compositions because the two parts are different.
Morning
Magnesium AM — five magnesium forms: magnesium bisglycinate, buffered citrate, malate, succinate and ascorbate, with inositol, vitamin C and vitamin B6. 250 mg of elemental magnesium per daily dose of two capsules, 67% of the Nutrient Reference Value.
Skin Renewal Complex — 14 active ingredients for skin, hair, nails and connective tissue: vitamin C, copper, zinc and biotin as the collagen cofactors, plus hyaluronic acid, MSM, L-glutathione, N-acetyl-cysteine, coenzyme Q10, astaxanthin, ceramides, choline, vitamin E and Polypodium leucotomos. It is a cofactor formula, not a collagen powder — the body builds collagen rather than absorbing it ready-made.
Evening
Magnesium PM — five different magnesium forms: bisglycinate, taurate, citrate, lactate and gluconate. Again 250 mg of elemental magnesium.
Super Sleep — a 0.1 mg melatonin microdose with glycine, L-tryptophan, L-theanine, KSM-66® ashwagandha and apigenin-standardised chamomile. Physiological night-time melatonin is measured in picograms per millilitre, not milligrams; this is a time signal, not a sedative.
Across the day that is eight distinct magnesium forms, and no magnesium oxide anywhere in the range.
What is deliberately not in it
A formula is defined as much by what it leaves out.
No magnesium oxide. It is the cheapest and most common magnesium raw material in the industry. Both magnesium formulas are built from organic acid salts and amino acid chelates instead.
No collagen powder. Ingested collagen is broken down like any other protein. The step Skin Renewal Complex supports is the enzymatic one — and it is the only part of the collagen story that carries an authorised EU health claim.
No multi-milligram melatonin. A 3–5 mg dose produces plasma concentrations reported at ten to a hundred times the body's own nocturnal peak. Super Sleep sits at the physiological end deliberately — which also means we make no health claim for melatonin at all, because 0.1 mg is below the 1 mg threshold the EU requires for one.
That last point is worth pausing on: we chose the dose over the claim.
What magnesium and the cofactors are permitted to say
Magnesium contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system, normal muscle function, normal psychological function, normal energy-yielding metabolism, electrolyte balance, normal protein synthesis, the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It also has a role in the process of cell division.*
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, bones and cartilage, and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Copper contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissue. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails, and to normal protein synthesis. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and hair. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal psychological function and to the regulation of hormonal activity.*
These are the authorised claims, quoted as the EU register writes them. Everything else on this page is composition and biology.
Time is an ingredient
That phrase is not decoration. It is the design constraint the whole range was built under: when something is taken is treated as part of the formulation, not an afterthought printed on the back of the label.
It is also the reason the range cannot be compressed into one bottle. A single formula taken at any hour has to be a compromise between two different physiological states — and a compromise is exactly what it becomes.
What this is not
It is not a treatment for anything. It is not fast. Magnesium status builds over weeks; connective tissue renews over months — nails grow about 3 mm a month, scalp hair about 1 cm, and the dermal collagen network is slower than both.
And it is not a replacement for food, sleep or daylight. A capsule cannot reset a body clock that never sees morning light.
Where to start
You do not need the whole system to begin.
If your question is magnesium → Magnesium AM, Magnesium PM, or both as the Magnesium Duo.
If your question is skin, hair and nails → Skin Renewal Complex, offered as a 90-day supply because that is the shortest interval over which these tissues renew.
If your question is the evening → Magnesium PM, with Super Sleep alongside it.
If you want the whole arc → the Escape Protocol System: four formulas, 240 capsules, morning and evening.
Complex biology. Simple decisions.
